Quartz, which is also a natural stone, contains resins & glues. It is sturdy and not porous. Also, there are a variety of colors & patterns that are consistent to choose from.
Ultra Compact Surface material is the latest & greatest countertop. Though it is manmade, it is the most highly resistant material.
